Akupa Tea

This was a package presentation for a tea company. AKUPA tea or “a-cup-a tea.” It was an interesting project in the sense that most of the time tea companies go for the organic design. I went a different route to incorporate an expensive and elegant feeling. The top of the box is etched out with a black matte finish where the letters are. The actual boxes holding the tea are linear in their design to create a cohesive blend throughout the packaging. Four colors represent the blends of tea. Overall – a very satisfying project. Enjoy!
The boxes come varnished. Frisket film was used as a canvas to cut the template of the logo. A chalkboard matte paint to add the finish on the box and a steady hand are used in the process of creating the logo.
This project for the concept of the logo to the end product of the packaging took 80 hours.
