This project was a deep dive into brand identity management for Geffen Records, focused on creating a comprehensive physical style guide. The goal was a hands-on exercise in the best practices for physical style guide creation, book binding, and identity management. I explored the brand's history and aesthetic to design a guide that was not only visually compelling but also physically unique, bound with an actual Geffen record. The final product was both a functional guide and a tribute to the brand's iconic status in the music industry.
My role was to conceptualize and execute a unique educational brand experience. I executed the entire process, from initial research all the way to the final physical product. This included the strategic design of the style guide, meticulously detailing brand guidelines, and overseeing the physical production. My contributions also involved the technical expertise in book binding, with the key challenge of integrating an actual Geffen record into the guide's structure. This hands-on, detail-oriented approach demonstrated a full-circle understanding of brand narrative and its physical execution through a tangible, highly crafted object.
